Andrew is in Poland in a town named..LODZ.(pronouned woodge in english).He is loving his mission and meeting new people.He just received his first transfer and new companion Elder Matthews from Brigham City Utah.(wonder if he is a far off relative?) Nikon

Doug and I went to Berkley,Ca for a Nikon school for two days.I guess the new stuff is all digital,so be ready if your not yet.We had lots of stuff about the camera alone ,but I loved the way they had lots of photos and photo shows running all the time.Then they showed how to change photos ,color,crop,contrast,etc.So.....what out now..I'm going to have even better photos to blog about .(and paint)It's like painting your photos to improve them.The teachers were pro camera guys that have been all over the world shooting photos.Go if you ever get a chance to.

Additive or escape?

Look what I started...They all love to Paint!The top one is Amanda's ..this is her 3rd painting..loves only abstract.
Brynlee and Katelynn were doing the paint by number behind them, then Ella had to join in so...they are all now painting paper plates.(and loving it)
See its not in the genes..it's the desire to play in the paint.

What's in your tank?

We have had lots of different fish in this tank through the years.This is a managery of deposits.The oscar is from the office tank...the ciclid is fron Jesse's tank fron North Dakota.The siversollar is the only one that was in there to start with.I got two little Paccu to add some thing the oscar wouldn't eat.(they were 1 in.)All the goldfish are (to feed the other fish) shhh!!! Katelynn hates that part,she doesnt want them to eat the goldfish.She is going to be a VET when she grow up.Any one want some fish?They wont bite...unless you are putting your fingers in the tank and they are hungry!

How big do they have to be before they need a new bigger tank?jkjk

New Painting

This is a painting of "Elephant Peak" above Three Rivers.You know I have to have horses in it so they are added. Monterey ,Ca two kyackers,right off the 18th hole in Pebble Beach.

Most of my ideas come from golf visits so ,sorry about that.This is at NewPortBeach.The photo had more people but I liked the solitude of only one at the front and the other people across to the other beach,in the back.Love it if you give ideas or comments to help me out.

Bramma and Papa time

The girls haven't been over for awhile so we had them come over and stay all week-end.I have forgotten how many things you can do in 3 hours...like make and frost a cake,make pancakes,make magnets,read bookd,color,play with all the toys,play with all the horses,get drinks,snacks ....etc...! Papa made the cute mickey mouse pancakes and I made the Bell dress for Katelynn.The castle guys have not been out since Andrew was little ...so... we got all the castle and the doll house out and had alot of fun!Yes ,I can still sit on the floor and get up again!We were remembering when Andrew and Lyssa would put up the castle and the doll house and they would war at each other across the room for days.The good old days...pirates taking over the doll house ,and the grandma doll attacking the pirates!!We watched an movie and Brynlee got her wish to paint with bramma.She is always wanting to paint...she is working on a couple of pictures right now.I guess Richard will have to ups Kylee over so we can have a week end with her.She is a little easier right now ,but won't be long before she is crawling.....I can't wait.Being Bramma i s so much fun!I love to see papa laughing and wrestling with the girls!

Trip to the unknown..Idaho

January I made a trip to Idaho and visit Dad.The weathe was unpredictable but not much snow for this time of year.Look at the front of grandpas place..bare grass....never in jan! This is grandpa ,and you can see how good he is doing after his surgery.why to go grandpa.

I love the od barn in the backyard ...I'll have to paint it some day.Just for your intertainment....this is a box of toothpicks from great grandpas store...check out the price in the circle ....7 1/2 cents.What I don't get is how you pay the 1/2 cent???Cheap these days.

Just because you dont like my music doent mean you have to listen to it..I love it to paint by ..It gets me going,a class they listen to elevator music and I found I just sit and hardley get any done.Blame all those years with kids in the car..It grows on you.And for Weeser,Yes I picked it,just think it is a funny song(pork and beans)

I was tagged..so I looked at my folders....Too bad ..I have too many folders.This is the Merriot at San Deigo that we stay at with medical meeting.Love the "mirror" look.We watche the air races from hear too.

I take photos of all my painting for record and check for improvements .This one was the 4 th in that folder..It is of rocks in Moab.

This is my reference folder and a painting I have working on right now...It is Badger hill in Exeter.The spring time is so neat .I love the lime colored grass and the black cows against it.(You have to be there )

proof that we did go ON the beaches and the water.No never in a swimsuit...A true golfers tan...ankles and short sleeves,and a v on the neck,one hand tan ,one not...gloves.

We found out the golf was hard and the balls were gone if you dont aim straight because of the hills...Lost alot of balls dpwn the hill sides...(or the chickens got them)(jkjk)one of the holes had a spot to look in the bushes downhill...Look what was down there!!!!Extra balls for us to lose on the next hole!

This is the Grand Canyon of the Pacific.Look at the watefalls and the red dirt.

Bubba Burger is a chain around the islands ..Really good food and plus you can see lots of movie stars that have visited the place ,from the photos on the walls.Jack black etc.....Most of them have photos of them behind the counter cooking the burgers!!!!Sweet!!!!Lots of movies were filmed here soneat spots to check out.

At Monterey ..Spanish Bay there are deer everywhere on the golf coarse...but in Hawaii there are roosters and chickens every place you go..They are harder to hit so dont try.......

We went to the isalnd of Kauii....this is a light house there ..we didn't get to go into it because it was closed .

This a swap meet...bring your boards to swap or buy.Every size and brand.

Dec. Doug and I went to Hawaii for a week of fun and golf. The smirk is caused from all the golfing we did.

The hotel had a great view of the ocean and beach below.It was neat to sleep with the doors open and hear the ocean all night .

This is what a great little packer I am....yes the red suitcase is the one with my stuff in it...the two long ones are the golf clubs.
