proof that we did go ON the beaches and the water.No never in a swimsuit...A true golfers tan...ankles and short sleeves,and a v on the neck,one hand tan ,one not...gloves.

We found out the golf was hard and the balls were gone if you dont aim straight because of the hills...Lost alot of balls dpwn the hill sides...(or the chickens got them)(jkjk)one of the holes had a spot to look in the bushes downhill...Look what was down there!!!!Extra balls for us to lose on the next hole!

Bubba Burger is a chain around the islands ..Really good food and plus you can see lots of movie stars that have visited the place ,from the photos on the walls.Jack black etc.....Most of them have photos of them behind the counter cooking the burgers!!!!Sweet!!!!Lots of movies were filmed here soneat spots to check out.

At Monterey ..Spanish Bay there are deer everywhere on the golf coarse...but in Hawaii there are roosters and chickens every place you go..They are harder to hit so dont try.......

We went to the isalnd of Kauii....this is a light house there ..we didn't get to go into it because it was closed .

Dec. Doug and I went to Hawaii for a week of fun and golf. The smirk is caused from all the golfing we did.

The hotel had a great view of the ocean and beach below.It was neat to sleep with the doors open and hear the ocean all night .

Ell was in the kitchen standing by the sink and papa was outside looking in at her.They soon turned it ino a game of peek-a-boo,wih lots of giggles...

My little helper in the kitchen making some pumpkin bread.I was nicknamed ...The Little Red Hen...When I worked at Logan Hospital because I would always go ask the patients about everything (Did anyone show ou this or where this is etc...) Then say...then I will....so I guess it was alot like the storybook.If you don't help yo don't get to help eat it....Looks like these girls will be helping eat the bread.....You see both of their arms....I wasn't twisting any.

Aunt Karen started the idea of going bowling on Thanksgiving Day so...away we went .... bowling !Bish and Karen came with us this year.Rachel is waiting for her turn ..or just hugging the bowling ball.

This was the Thanksgiving table after the meal.Thanks for all the help with the cooking and the dishes.We have a tradition that at big meals there is a menu put out for signing up for what you want to cook(If you sign up first you get a better choice,or you will be cooking what no one else wanted to...like the turkey.Lindsey learned that one last year.Doug helped her learn how and it was great.No fear!!!!

What happened to the Owen Family Band?

Richard brought his "Rockband " with him for the Thanksgiving Holidaysso he was teaching Katelynn to do the drums .....Ella had to have a turn...she even holds th sticks right .Maybe she will be in the band.Brynlee played the drums too.Everyone else di the guitars and microphone..Its was lots of fun!We even go papa to have a turn.It just wasn't like the old days with the Owen Family Band at Christmas when we went to the nursing homes and played.....

Brynlee loves to stay at Grandmas house for sleepovers.Yes that means sleep over by Grandmas side of the bed on the floor.That's fine with me.

Brynlee had a birthday Nov.25 so we went to their house to have some cake and open gifts.PaPa and Brynlee both wearing s big smile!!!!

Katelynn always plays with my truck and horses when they come over to visit.One day the truck was left out and they had gone home so I went to put them up and this is what I found.The trailor full of horses and the baby foal on the side with a blanket to sleep.If you look you will see that the truck even has a blanket and to sleep.

This is a photo of Kaylee asleep on my lap.She looks a little different every time I look at her.Where did the reddish hair come from?I do know there is some on the Haddock side.She is all bundled up like she went back to the good old days of before birth,close and comfy.Sleep tight!

Catching Up

What is all the noise about?Ell is always concerned about crying babies......she is always saying...shh ,shh,shh.while she is patting her dollies.Kylee didnt think she wanted a photo taken I guess.(or she is just mad that she is the youngest one in the photo,and didn't want to be)

Ella still doesn't have much hair so...we found a velcro bow that would stay in (if she would leave it in !)
When we tried to take some photos she had to point to her bow because it was still in!!!!!

The Old Guys birthday!The cake was holding out to not burn down the house!Happy Birthday Hubby!

Jesse is a flight instructor and workd for the CIRRUS company.He wants to get more flying hours with multi engeine,sohe flew Rachel and me to San Deigo with this rented plane.It is old and had some issues by the time we got there and back to V town.Darrel is the plane Dr. here and said he could look at it before Jesse should fly back to Vegas..This is the plane Dr and the hospital gerne....hauling the plane to get repairs.The plane is slower than our plane so I was able to look at lots of houses and do lots of my cross-stitch on the way.

Ella

Grandma has regular tea parties with the girls(and all the dolls in the house)Because some of the dolls invited to the party were made of porcelain and we didn't want to break them we put the dolls in holders...Ella then had to have the plastic doll in a holder too!We didi have to change her dishes to plastic ones too!

Grandpa has taught the girls to eat whip cream from their finger but Ella got a bigger idea....fill your hand ,you get more...and there aren't any dishes to do.

If there are any high heels around the house Ella will be wearing them!!!!!If you get big enough one you just have to squat down and sit on the back and you have a chair with you at all times.Watch out Amanda your shoes will be missing!!!You better get a "High Heel" fund started for her now.
